I can't believe we are this OLD!!!!!!!!

Mom and Dad always said that as you get older time goes a lot faster. Boy did they know what they were talking about. Remember sitting in class at NEHI waiting for class to finish so you could find something fun to do? Well 40 years later and boy do we have something fun to do. Can't wait to see all our old classmates at the "Tradewinds" this Sept. Can any of you still dance?

See you all in 95 days

Where did it Go?

40 years is a long time, and I am sure we have all been through our own troubles, but we are still here. My kids are almost as old as I am and my grandkids are not far behind. The good news is yes I can still dance.

See you all soon !

40 years!  WOW!  Moving to Kansas.  Joining the Navy.  Moving to California.  Three kids, 5 grandkids.  Who would have imagined?  I am so looking forward to this reunion.  I haven't been able to be at the others so this is a big deal for me.  Can't wait to see everyone!

40 years and still going strong

40 years is a long time to be away from highschool friends. Except for Carole Sand (Seymour) and Glenn Boughton, with whom I am in a band with I haven't seen anyone. Opps I forgot Dan Jimpie. Hope to see you all at the Tradewinds in September.

Greetings from Richmond, VA!

I am glad to hear of this as I tried to start a reunion but it didn't work well as I am too far away! I will move mountains to be there! I had two chlildren in my 40's and one is only 9! I have five kids now...who would believe?

Anyone up north here near me? Hope to see you all soon!

Winnie Senty

When I see my friends after 40 years, I will recognize them.  I would not recognize their kids, therefore the kids are aging and we stay the same - that's my story and I'm sticking to it!

Thats NOT me in the mirror

Each morning as I pass the mirror ..............I say to myself who is that ? Because the refelction I see is not the person that is inside. I still think and fell like I did in high school. I work harder now and play a little less but the spirt is still young and strong.

Four children and 5 grandchildren later God has blessed my life. 29 years as a ER Nuse and the last 10 years traveling all over the US has affored me to see and meet many people and thank God that we all are different. Looking forward to seeing everyone at the reuion.

Plans Change

I was so looking forward to this reunion since it would be my first.  Now things have changed and I won't be able to make it this time either.  I am very disappointed and will miss seeing everyone.  Carole, take pictures and have fun for me.  I hope everyone has a wonderful time.  I'll be thinking of you.

My heart will always be in St Petersburg & with NEHI!

I made the decision 5 years ago to move away from my lifetime home of St Petersburg to be near my two girls and my 5 grandchildren up here in NC.But the salt of Tampa Bay and the Gulf of Mexico still run in my veins.Funny how I now long to be able to retire back home in Florida.I look forward to the Reunion to meet up with everyone and renew memories.I had a college reunion last year and got to meet up with people I hadn't seen in some 33 years(that was very memorable for me to renew those friendships), so this NEHI Reunion makes me hope for much of the same.See you all there.

Dane Smith and Judi Ricciardi Smith

We have been married for 37 years, we have three beautiful grown children and two grandchildren. We have lived on Sunset Beach, Treasure Island for 35 years. Dane is still performing music and Judi has been teaching elementary P.E. for twenty years. We enjoy traveling to our home away from home in the mountains of North Carolina. Life is still good together 40 years after graduating from Nehi in '69. Can't wait to see everyone in September!

Dear Class of '69,

My brother, Charles Bratton, passed away April 8, 2008. During the last several years of his life he worked for Publix in St. Pete and later in Palmetto. The greatest joy of his life was his son, Jason. Jason lives in Michigan with his beautiful wife and two little daughters. Charles made frequent visits to Grand Rapids for fishing trips with his son and grandpa time with his granddaughter, Chloe.

When Charles got sick, Jason took a leave of absence from his job and moved to Florida. He lived with his dad and provided all of his care. Charles was surrounded by his loving family and friends at the time of his death.

I miss my brother every day. He always had a kind word and quick smile for everyone. Each time I see a Jeep or a fishing pole I think of him; family, friends and fishing was his life. Have a fabulous reunion and remember something funny about "Charlie"; I know he'll be there in spirit.

Sincerely, Gloria Bratton Emerson Class of '65

If anyone is interested please contact me at nick.hockett@mccandlessaz.com     Tom kelley, Jay Post , Kasicki ,Barry G. and anybody else. Lets get the LINKSTERS out for some golf, cocktails and a grand BS session.

Sorry I am unable to attend this reunion. I moved to Virginia 23 years ago. Have one daughter and two beautiful grandchildren, ages 2 & 4. My husband is still involved with major league baseball...irronically with the Tampa Bay Rays...He is a special assignment scout to the general manager and loves what he is doing.

Me? Loving the grandchildren, Connor and Maddie and...volunteering at our local SPCA about 40 hours a week. Love helping those who cannot speak for themselves.

Hope to be there for the next reunion.

Sorry, I can't make this reunion

Hi Guys:

Sorry to have to give this reunion a miss. I'm in Costa Rica studying Spanish.

Life has been good. We do a lot of traveling for pleasure and try to enjoy life to its fullest. Guess that's why time has gone by so quickly.

It was great to see all of the photos and read the updates.  Hopefully I can make the next reunion.

What a Great Reunion

It was wonderful to see all that attended.  It was just like Nick said, "it is like study hall with alcohol".  The entire weekend was great and I think we owe a really big thank you to Vicki, Adrain and all those that helped to put this weekend together. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I hope that we can plan an annual picnic or beach day and then perhaps follow-up with another reunion in 5-years.  Let's all work towards that goal and take some of the load off of just a few.

Anyway, it was wonderful to see familiar faces and faces that I have not seen in a very long time.  Life is good.  Hope to stay in touch and see you all again soon.

Enjoying a good ol' gulfcoast sunset with ol' friends was such a pleasure.  It was good to see and talk with people I knew 40 years ago as well as talk with those I didn't know at NEHI though we walked the same halls. I wish I could have gone on Saturday night as well, but just loved Friday night and seeing all you wonderful folks.  The committee did a grand job.  I'm including a picture of my husband Richard and I fromlast year.  I hope folks who were more thoughtful that I and brought a camera to the reunion will post some of their pictures here.... safe travels and lives until next time.

1969 NeHi Reunion- Sept 18th and 19th

Hi everyone,

It was my pleasure to head up this reunion and to work with a great committee.  I am still talking about seeing everyone and what a great time that we all had.  I am sorry for the ones that could not make the 40th but hope that you can attend the 45th reunion in 5 years.  We will be having a yearly get together for a beach or picnic day each year where everyone brings a dish...No fuss No muss!  I will post on classmates, Northeast alumni site and northeast1969.com the dates for 2010. Please post any changes of address, phone, e-mail etc at this site and e-mail myself or Vicky Mann with any changes so we can keep in touch.  This site will remain up for 5 years so you can always post stories and pictures here.  Thank you Carol.

Many thanks to the contributers to the reunion, and a special thanks to Vicky Mann for all her hard work, especially on putting together the memoribilla tables.  What a great job.

Thanks to my husband Tommy for all his candied shots and I hope that everyone enjoys the pictures.

Till next time

What a GREAT TIME

Just a note to say thanks to all our 40th reunion participants. It was great to see each and every one of you. Adrian and Vicky, you both did a great job with all your committee members in providing us with such a wonderful venue for this fantastic event. With the exception of the balloon fiasco, all went as planned. I do wonder though, if possibly one of my ex-wives didn't pay someone off to have me die from dehydration trying to put up that dam banner. Hmmmm?  Hopefully no one was to offended by my antics during the raffle on Sat. night. You should all remember I kinda like the spot light. Also next time i'll get Karen Sawyer to sing for us if it kills me.

Thanking each and every one of you from the desert.
